Vogue 8852; ca. 1940; Misses' Jumpsuit.
"Shelter Suit. Have this in a soft woollen that will guard you against the chills of passages on the way to your refuge. It has full sleeves and trousers that are gathered into elastic bands, and two pockets for a few personal belongings. The hood which fits snugly to the throat is an added confort" as stated in Vogue Pattern Book, November 1940
