Vogue Americana 2639; ca. 1971; James Galanos - Misses' Evening Dress. Shirtdress, two inches below knee or above ankle length, has front zipper closing, fitted bodice with slightly raised waistline, bias pointed collar and full length sleeves gathered into buttoned cuffs. Smocked skirt, with or without front slit, welt pockets and topstitch trim.
Featured in Vogue International Pattern Book December 1971/January 1972 and on the cover of Vogue Pattern Fashion News, January 1972.
