Vogue Paris Original 1543; ca. 1965; Patou - Evening Dress and Coat. Dress and coat in both long and street lengths. Strapless dress has sunburst seaming at bustline, extending to V-point at back waist and into flared skirt. Attached bow. Coat follows lines of dress with wide flared skirt and high rounded neckline. Seam pockets. Attached bias bow. Bracelet length sleeves with underarm gussets have optional beaded banding trim.
This is a copy of the ensemble worn by Jackie Kennedy at the Boston Symphony Orchestra Ball on September 25, 1965
Reissued in 2005 as Vogue 8115.
