Vogue American Designer 1186; 1980s; Oscar de La Renta - Top and Skirt. Very loose-fitting top has standing collar, extended shoulders, shoulder pads, front and back pleated into lower band, concealed buttoned closing, full length sleeves pleated into buttoned cuffs and contrast detachable collar on band. Slightly A-line, lined skirt, mid-calf, has front pleated into waistband, slanted pockets and back zipper.

Suggested fabrics: Soft or Crisp fabrics; Cashmere Double Knits, Wool Double Knits, Lightweight Flannel, Challis, Serge and Lightweight Wool Crepe also Pique, Satin and Broadcloth for Contrast Collar. Additional notions required: TOP - ten 5/8” buttons, ¼” shoulder pads, 1 ¼yds ribbon, SKIRT – 7” zipper, one hook and eye, seam binding, one ½” button for collar. The pattern has 17 pieces, and 2 instruction sheets (plus 2 in French).
