Vogue Paris Original 1052; ©1949; Lanvin - One-Piece Dress. Dress has a two-piece look in front where the bodice front extends over the softly pleated and very full skirt front. In back the slightly flared skirt section joins the bodice with a narrow band. The bodice front buttons below the pointed collar and has two welt pockets at waistline. Short kimono sleeves, turned back cuffs.
“Originally made in a light grey-blue woolen jersey, you could make this dress in poplin, linen or a shantung type of silk. Wing collar, waistcoat front, elbow sleeves, full-fronted skirt" (as stated in Vogue Pattern Book, Summer 1949)
