Issues of copyright[]
It would be nice to see on the "about" page what the issues of copyright are for dress patterns. As of now I find this wiki only marginally useful and I do not like that vintage patterns are still controlled by commercial sellers. A lot of dress patterns will be lost forever until they are scanned and uploaded into an open, public repository where anybody can download and use them.
What are the plans to begin including scans of patterns on this site? There are plenty of old patterns that surely can no longer be subject to U.S. copyright. I don't think this wiki should only be useful to people selling patterns they never designed or manufactured in the first place. It should also contain patterns and the collaborative notes of the people who have made them.
discussion is very useful and certainly encouraged. It would be nice though to have a post signed by the author, not anonymous.
Copyright is a tricky issue - laws and regulations vary internationally, and since many of us are not experts, we tread carefully to be able to collect and post this information.
