5spadea

Spadea 5; ca. 1950s; Duchess of Windsor Pattern. I think black and white is an exciting and dramatic combination for after dark. This type of dress is one of my pets, because one can get so much wear out of it, with or without separate overskirt. The skirt might be moire, brocade, satin over wool, silk or rayon crepe. Other combinations of color and fabric are stunning too, depending on your own personality.
