Pattern Description

Simplicity 9051, ©1970. Adult and Boys' and Girls' Clown Costume: The costume with drawstring at neck edge has raglan sleeves, back zipper, and elastic casings at wrists and ankles forming self ruffles. V. 1 with rick-rack pom-pon trim features contrasting patches. V. 2 has rick rack and button trim. V. 1 & 2 have contrasting detachable neck ruffle trimmed with rick-rack. Braid trimmed V. 3 with self fabric bow features contrasting sleeves and vest with standup collar and button trim. Hat V. 1 & 2 have rick-rack, pom-pon and button trim. Hat V. 3 with braid and button trim has turned down point. Re-issued in 1975 as Simplicity 7162
