Simplicity 8823; ©1970; Teen-Boys' and Men's Shirt: The top-stitched shirt with front button closing has notched collar, forward shoulder seams, yoke, set in sleeves and patch pockets with flaps. V. 1, 2 & 3 have self fabric belt slipped thru carriers. V. 1 & 2 have long sleeves. V. 1 features front bands and pockets with button trimmed flaps. V. 3 & 4 have short sleeves.

Suggested fabrics: Cottons and blends. Synthetics and blends; poplin, canvas, duck, homespun, hopsacking. View 1 also in lightweight wools and blends; wool gabardine, tweed, double knits. View 2 also in corduroy, suede cloth, scrub denim, denim. Linen. View 3 and 4 also in pique, cotton sateen, terrycloth, denim. Linen. Additional notions required: thread, four ¾” buttons. View 1 – two 5/8” buttons (for pocket flaps). View 1, 2 and 3 – one 2” belt buckle.

The pattern has 11 pieces and 2 instruction sheets.
