Simplicity 8729; ©1993; Western Style Dress in Two Lengths. Long or short sleeved Western dress with skirt stitched to bodice at elasticized waistline seam has side seam pockets and neckline, collar, yoke and trim variations. Long sleeves are pleated to buttoned cuffs. Skirt is knee length or below calf length. Ruffle can be applied to short skirt to achieve a below calf length ruffled skirt. Two yoke variations, a cape, and stitching lines for keyhole opening are given. Dress can be trimmed wtih purchased fringe, lace or eyelet, conchos and purchased appliques.
