If Anything Can the Caftan Can. The captivating caftan meets most occasions with an easy grace. Charming in brocade & sequins for an evening out, it's equally nice in soft flowing jersey for entertaining at home. Photo & description are from the Spring 1974 issue of SIMPLICITY FASHIONS magazine. Possibly redundant because the pattern cover has a photo of the finished garment. Notice, however, how the addition of a simple turban & a fair bit of attitude takes this from the realm of happy suburban hausfrau into .... i m not sure. |
