Simplicity 3902; ca. 1940s; MISSES’ AND WOMEN’S PRINCESS DRESS. In Style I, colorful lacings of ribbon or braid trim the front seams. Both back and front seams open into inverted pleats. Brief cape-like sleeves, cut in one with the side fronts, open at the shoulder seam. Style II is trimmed with top-stitching at the seams and around the collar. Long, fitted sleeves are darted in at the shoulder. The lines of this youthful dress are very flattering to the short figure.
