Simplicity2971b

Simplicity 2971; ca. 1938; Misses' Evening Gown. A gown in the new tradition of grace and femininity, this has a fitted bodice and very full skirt. Style I, with its off-shoulder bands, may be worn with or without the pleating and bowed shoulder straps. Style II is lovely with its low neckline and unusual shirred sleeves. Buttons close the bodice at back. Skirt, sleeves and neckline are trimmed with ribbon.

Featured in Simplicity Prevue February 1939, in Simplicity Patterns catalog, July 1939 and in Simplicity Patterns Complete Catalog, February 1940
