S1700B

Simplicity 1700; ©1946;  Children's and Girl's One-Piece Dress:  A shaped bodice yoke releases soft gathers.  The high round neckline complements the yoke and the bodice buttons in the back.  The gathered skirt, cut in two sections, has a continuous lap back opening and an inset belt joins the bodice and skirt.  Tie ends are fastened to the belt at the side seams to form a back bow.  In Style I a self fabric ruffle joins to the yoke seam extending to the back armhole.  The sleeves are long and gathered.  In Style II the contrasting yoke is trimmed with buttons and an embroidery ruffle.  A pocket trims the skirt and the sleeves are short and puffed.  In Style III, two pockets are used on the skirt.
