Simplicity 1539; ©1945; Misses' and Women's Dress: The bodice features a pleat at each shoulder and soft gathers at the lower edge. The dress buttons down the center front bodice below the waistline. The skirt front has a pleat below the button closing and the back is seamed at either side of the center. Style I has a high neckline and tabs which button to the bodice. The sleeves are short. Style II has a shaped neckline and the neck and front edges are outlined with top stitching. The sleeves are three quarter length.
