Patron Modèle 54017; ca. 1950s; Beach Ensemble - This ensemble consists of a dress in plain dupioni and a sunbathing suit-bloomers in printed fabric. The kimono bodice, cinched with darts, is trimmed with an overhang of white piqué; the skirt, cut with pockets, is fitted at the waist with darts; Button fastening at center-front. The sunbathing suit, edged at the front with two piqué lapels, is fixed at the waist to bloomers, softly gathered at the bottom.
Original description: "Ensemble de plage - Cet ensemble se compose d'une robe en doupion uni et d'un bain de soleil-bloomer en imprimé. Le corsage kimono, repris par des pinces, est garni d'un dépassant de piqué blanc; la jupe, découpée en poches, s'ajuste à la taille par des pinces; boutonnage au milieu du devant. Le bain de soleil, bordé devant par deux revers de piqué, se fixe à la taille sur un bloomer légèrement froncé du bas."
