  • Hi,

Another note - I have not caught up to your new additions yet, but please note that the pattern names should have the word Mode starting with a capital M.

This will affect all the links you are currently adding, which will need to be redone.

    Best regards,

    tarna

    • I'm sorry but I can't find any rules anywhere so I was doing as I thought was good, but if there's more and more then I guess I'd better stop adding because I really don't know anymore what I'm doing right and what not! Can you please give me clear information as to what and how I need to do it or I will not be adding anymore, as it's frustrating for me since I feel all I'm doing is wrong and it's frustrating for you if you have to redo everything, and it's just making me feel worse. I have the time to do this now but I don't for how much longer. Once my job springs back to normal, it will be over. I have 20 more of those magazines and thought doing this way would also make it easier for me to find stuff, but it looks like I've been doing everything wrong...

      Cheers,

      Karin

    • Hello Karin,

Please don't stop.  Your additions are appreciated. I was certainly not trying to make you feel bad, as I know you are trying to do the right thing.

To address the capitalization: Titles should have the nouns capitalized, as a general rule (not wiki specific.)

I would usually just fix it and not complain, but there is increased traffic on the wiki, with everyone being online these days, and I am running behind on the new additions, so I sent you a note  to prevent both of us having to do more work in the long run.

      Best regards,

      tarna

  • Hi,

If you have additional dating information, you can add the estimate to the description; please don't removed the pattern name and dating estimate from the description section.

  • Hi,

Thank you for adding all those pattern drafting and catalog pages.

Please note that the extra pictures do not belong in the Gallery - they should go in the description section.

    Best regards,

    tarna

    • Sorry, I didn't know that you couldn't use the gallery for that...

    • Thank you for moving them.

The original template is a bit unclear on what goes in the Gallery (and I don't have permission to alter the template), so we are changing the wording of the Gallery section one-by-one to clarify this.

  • Hi,

    Thank you for your contributions.

On your recent new additions, I notice that the format you are using is off.  Are you using the button on the main page of the wiki, called Create?  If not, you will not get the right base format for the new pattern listings.

    Best regards,

    tarna

    • Hi,

Sorry for that. Suddenly a new page editor showed up and I didn't know how to get back to the old one - seemed to be a Wikia thing... I'll try again. I always use the creat button.

      Cheers,

      KArin

    • Hi,

If you want to revert to the old way of editing - here is how:

      • Place your mouse or cursor over your user name in the upper right hand corner of the any pages(in the dark green area on the very top).  You shiould see a drop-down menu including "My preferences".
      • Select "MyPreferences"
      • On that page, select the "Editing" tab
      • In the section "Editing Experience", select "Wikia's classic rich-text editor"
      • Make sure to click the tiny "Save" button at the bottom, and you should be all set.
