  • ... Vintage means 25 years old or older on this wiki.  No patterns past 1991 at this time.

  • Hi,

On Simplicity 8761, you removed three vendor links as sold.

2 were still availble, 1 was on hold.  None of those qualify for removal.

Please be more careful in the future.

    • Hi Tarna,

I removed the link for "http://www.buggsbooks.com/index.php?page=sewingvintage " because it didn't go directly to the pattern for sale. It goes to their main page. I didn't see it still for sale.

Same thing with "http://www.dellajane.com/sewingpatterns_baby.html" it didn't go to that specific pattern for sale.

I removed them because on the Wikia's about page it says "Vendor Linking Tip #1 If you have a pattern for sale, list it under the "Sources" on the specific pattern page. Be sure to link directly to the pattern sale page (not to the front page, category or other pages)."

I'm sorry if I am misunderstanding that the links need to go directly to the specific pattern that is for sale.

On the ecrater link that said it was on "hold" I thought that meant it was sold and was unavailable. When I have a pattern that sells on ecrater, it always shows as "hold" until I remove it from my inventory.

      Thanks,

      Cynthia

    • Hi Cynthia,

Yes, I think it is a misunderstanding.  The link needs to go directly to the page the pattern is sold on.

Some websites do not have individual pages for each pattern, e.g.. those two websites.  The page it links to has the pattern for sale on it, and no deeper level for patterns, thus a legal page to link to..

The problem with removing on hold patterns is that for some venues that can also mean they are on vacation.  I have no personal experience with ecrater, but it is possible that you are correct.

      Best regards,

      tarna
