Hello there! I'm a member of the Fandom Editor Experience team and we've selected you to receive some Fandom swag as part of our first Editor Rewards program initiative with Emerging Interests wikis. This is free of charge, with a potential caveat I'll get to shortly.
If you're in the US or Canada, that's all you have to do. If you're not, there may be a customs charge after the item arrives in your country that we cannot pay for you, due to vendor limitations. If you don't want to pay it, feel free to refuse the gift. We won't take it personally at all. If you are not the directed user of this message, please note that we will ignore your form request.
My sister just recently passed away and she collected all types of patterns. Many of them are 25 years older and more. She has Crafts, dresses, kids, costums and more. I'd say she has about 1,000 or more in plastic containers all seperated. I would like to sell these in one lump sum. If anyone is intersted please contact me.
Hi! I like to sew. I hand sew, but I'm kind of a noobie/beginner at sewing. I'm not good at sewing. I've never used a sewing machine before. I've only hand sew things. I fixed clothing, a water toy (It was a ball), my backpack (which I need to fix again). I'm actually trying to make my very own costume. It's a VOCALOID costume. I suck at it. :P
I Tarna, nice to hear from you. There's no way to find out if the seller got the number wrong because as I usually do, I checked on the Internet for copies of this pattern and didn't find any. It seems quite rare and is really beautiful. You're right, there's already a Simplicity 1954 from the 1940s, but it's a reissue of Simplicity 4365. Otherwise, looking at a Simplicity catalog http://what-i-found.blogspot.com/2009/04/simplicity-fashion-preview-1947.html the style and numbers seem to match the style and number of this one.
I have found this website quite curiously when I was looking for a review of a pattern someone might have completed to see how it turned out. What a Fabulous Site...although I still remain confused by much of it,as to how to post, and contribute.I would very much like to become a part of the vendor listings.I have a Great Deal of Vintage patterns posted for sale on Ecrater.com my page is www.4EverYoung.Ecrater.com patterns are posted on the far left.
Excuse me, please, escuse me.....I suppose I have done a mistake but I can not understand and solve the problem...can you help me , please?
I have inserted my name and link of my page in the vogue 4203 wishlist
and I have inserted the vogue 4203 link in my profile page
I have saved the changes but .....when I visit the vogue 4203 page and click on my name on the wish list I reach the edit page of my main page of my profile ; when I enter my page and click on the vogue 4203 in my wished patterns I reach the edit page of the pattern vogue 4203....
I will cross my fingers....I have found the pattern in right size, 18 , but it is quite expensive...cross my fingers again and again until they are blue :D , maybe the seller will accept a lower the price :D
Hi, thought you should know there is a blog linking to this site which misleadingly claims you've "released more than 83,500 patterns of pre 1992, out of print patterns for all to use." SO you'll probably have a lot of confused visitors around.
Hi, thank you very much for the information. I don't think we can do much to prevent or block false articles from other websites. The positive point is that I read in most comments to the blog article that people were aware Vintage Patterns Wikia is only a database and doesn't offer free patterns.
Hi Petite Main! I tried a few weeks ago to add the name of my Etsy shop to the Vendor list so that I could put my link on one of the patterns that no one else seems to have. Somehow, I did something wrong as I apparently got banned for life for spam and vadalism!!!! I was told that the reason is that one can't advertise a business on Fandom. So, now I'm really confused as there appear to be lots of vendors with Etsy shops. Can you help? My shop link is www.Etsy.com/shop/22Curtis Thanks so much!
Hey Petite Main! I'm Jamie from FANDOM's Community Development team! Not sure if we never asked you if you are interested in turning on the Discussions feature for this community, and migrating the Threaded Forums across as well.
In case you are unaware of the feature, Discussions was introduced last year to help communities engage with users and fans. It lives in its own space on the wiki and allows users to interact with other members of the community. It is also mobile friendly and gives mobile users a chance to contribute and engage with the community, and possibly turn them into wiki editors as well. Discussions also links with our FANDOM Apps, which this community has and it allows app users to easily take part in Discussions as well. You can read more about Discussions here.
For more information on migrating forums to Discussions, you can check out this blog over on Community Central that explains everything in detail.
If you have some concerns, Discussions, and Forums can exist side-by-side in case you do not want to migrate just yet. However, eventually all Forums will be migrated over to Discussions and Forums will be sunsetted as a feature, so getting ahead of the curve is never a bad idea.
Feel free to have an open discussion with your community about this, and I'm available for any questions you might have. Have a good one!
