  • Hi,

I see that you have taken to adding a variety of fabrics to the categories.

While we may have hightlighted some fabrics in the past that require special handling (e.g. plaid, velvet, suede), I do not think it is desirable to add all of them, unless you are willing to research and update all 70,000+ patterns on this wiki.  Linen, e.g. is not all that special, while admittedly, moire poses some layout challenges.  Just afraid that this is going ot go out of control category wise (not even mentioning the spelling variations).

It is acceptable to add the suggested fabrics to the pattern pages in another paragraph - would that work?

    • Thanks, I can refrain from adding fabrics.  I thought since some fabric categories were there I'd use them for patterns I had in hand, but I'm not too exercised about it.  Honestly I'd rather not do the extra typing of more paragraphs.  :-)

  • I am looking for stretch and sew patter 837. I did find and bought on Amazon but it is lost in the mail. Do you have this pattern? The infants dress? Thank you. Mary

    • Thanks for your interest.  I do list all of my patterns on Amazon, and I am the same person with the Pinterest page where you inquired.  I don't have this one at present but I believe amazon does have a button on each listing to request notification if one does become available.

  • On June 30, you edited Stretch & Sew 1252. You deleted my link (DellaJane) and add a category. My links go to the top of the page, so please scroll down and make sure the pattern is not available before you delete my link next time. I restored the link. Thank you! alice

  • Please remember - Vintage is defined as 25 years old or older on this wiki.

Currently, that means only pattern to 1990, no later, can be added here.

    Best regards,

    tarna

  • Hi,

When you enter a new pattern, please make sure you have an image ready.  It is difficult to determine categories (or even validity) without that.

    • I am sorry, I didn't have my own image for this pattern and didn't want to take someone else's.  The pattern is available on Amazon (by a different seller) if you'd like to refer to that page for verification.

    • Hi,

The point is, please don't create pattern pages without images.

I cannot just take someone else's picture without their permission either...

      Best regards,

      tarna

  • Hi,

On another note, the way to enter the vendor link correctly is as follows (spelled out so it won't show up as a link here):

Asterisk *, then opening square bracket [, then URL, then space, then your shop or vendor name, then closing square bracket ]

    • Can you please explain the problem with the Amazon review link for Style Pattern 1022?  You said that it was inappropriate and "for the review of the pattern" when this is what the reviewer said:  "Sew a skirt- extend the wardrobe options. The possibilities are just endless when you build with basics and add style. This pattern will adjust to any look - western, nautical, office, etc."  That's the customer's review on the item page -- it is not a review of the transaction.

    • I'll re-add it, but this appeared like a very generic view on skirts in general, not this pattern specifically...

  • Hi,

I feel like a right nag by now, but I figure you want to know...

When creating a new pattern page, please start from the Create button on the front page.  It has the pre-formatting in place, and we don't have to redo the formatting afterwards.
