Yes, following the rules matters in any community, which is why reading the About page is pointed out in the welcome message.. They were implemented to be fair and courteous to all participating sellers, and to keep competitive behavior to a minimum.
There are actually very few rules here, but it is - of course - up to you to participate, or not.
The ban was a way to get your attention to actually read your messages, and it was for a short 2 hours (the least time available).
We distinguish between McCall and McCall's patterns. Please note the apostrophe on the latter. Please make sure to spell it that way, or you run the risk of creating duplicates.
When adding a new pattern, please start from the Create button on the main page (get there by clicking on the Vintage Patterns Wikia logo at the top left of any page). That way, you start out with the correct, pre-formatted template that includes sections or vendor links, etc.
