McCall 964; ca. 1942; Child's Coat and Hat. Toddlers (and even your half-year-old) can begin to appreciate the pretty things you make them. The soft pleats, the nice embroidery, are eye-catchers to them! Make this ensemble in baby pastels and you'll have a charming outfit. The coat has a detachable lining; the hat is put together with few seams. The embroidery you can do in six-stranded cotton, and while it's daintily elegant, it's only satin stitch. Work it in a darker tone than the coat or in white - or color on white.
