Front

McCall 693; 1940s; This pattern Contains 2 Pieces

This graceful embroidery design in simple lazy daisy stitches has a banding and matching motifs in various desirable sizes. The banding, used on belts made of belting or the same material as the dress, makes a charming finish for a dress or blouse. Lovely, too, used in banding effect on the sleeves and edges, on collars, cuffs, and above hems. The large motif A is for trimming the front of a blouse, and C is a nice size for a collar. Worked in pastel colors, the design may be used on towels, boudoir pillows, negligees, handkerchief or lingerie cases, etc. The front of the envelope gives a gay color suggestion. Others can easily be worked out. For pastel coloring, use the colors given, but in pale tones.
