McCalls 5948

McCall's 5948; ©1961; Six-gore flare skirt with back and front inserts under box pleats. Six-gore flare skirt with front bands extending to form belt carriers. Pleats stitched part way; outside stitching on other skirts. Each has left side zipper placket and is proportioned to fit the tall 5’8” figure, the medium 5’6” figure and the shorter 5’3” figure.

Suggested fabrics: lightweight wools, synthetic suitings, cotton suitings, worsted, tweed, flannel. Not suitable for diagonal prints or diagonal weaves. Additional notions required: thread, optional ribbon seam binding, 7” or 9” skirt placket zipper, 2 hooks and eyes, 1 snap, purchased belt for view C.

The pattern has 9 pieces and 1 instruction sheet.
