This pattern includes 4 3/4 yards of banding 3 1/8" wide (about 40 motifs 3 1/8" square when cut apart) Birds and grapevine motifs with crosses 8 to the inch. Three different designs or religious symbols are given in banding form, to be cut apart and used singly, in pairs or in a variety of combinations. The birds (representing the soul or invisible spirit in man), the vine and grape (representing harvest , plenty and thanksgiving) may be used effectively on clothing, household or church linens. Embroider skirt or apron with cross-stitch above hem, embroider motifs on large pockets.
