McCall's 1630; ©1951; This coverlet (without alterations) is suitable for a bed 36 to 40 inches wide and 76 inches long. The petticoat ruffles should come about 1/2 to 1 inch from the floor. If your bed measures 171/2 or 18 inches from the floor to top of bed springs, no alterations in depth of the 17 inch ruffle is required. The suitable materials for the set are 4-gauge plastic, chintz or taffeta.
