Indianapolis:

Musee Galliera, 10, avenue Pierre-Ier-de-Serbie - Paris 16e, Fashion museum located in a former mansion. Although the Wikipedia entry states it is open daily, it has never been open on any of my many visits to Paris. When I've called I've been told it is open only while exhibitions are on. Granville, Normandy, France:

Christian Dior museum. Open from May to September, their exhibitions are always fantastic. The museum is located in the Dior's family house, in a beautiful garden. Link : http://www.musee-dior-granville.com

Barcelona, Spain:

Museu Textil i d'Indumentaria (Textile Museum), Palau de Pedralbes, Av. Diagonal 686, 08 034 Barcelona, Tel. 93 256 34 65. A wing of the Museu de les Arts Decoratives (Decorative Arts Museum) in Pedralbes Palace. Worth a visit just to walk the grounds, but when I was there they had an *excellent* fashion exhibition with fantastic giveaway pamphlet on the history of shapes in fashion for the past 300-400 years. http://www.dhub-bcn.cat/museutextilidindumentaria

Oslo, Norway:

Athens, Greece:

Mouseio Ellinikis Laikis Technis (Greek Folk Art Museum), Kidathineon 17, Pláka, Athens, Greece, 210 321 3018, Tues-Sun 0830-1400. This small museum has an impressive display of traditional Greek costumes from around the mainland and the island, along with non-clothing textiles and examples of other folk and technical arts.

London:

The fashion gallery at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, is closed for renovation until next year.
