Shaped collar and ribbon tie. Short cuffed sleeves or puff sleeves. Shorts may be lined or unlined, and have elastic at back. Fastening at left hip. Fabrics for blouse-China silk, flat crêpe, crêpe de chine, taffeta, satin, gingham, handkerchief linen. Fabrics for shorts-Gingham, velveteen, velvet, satin. Featuring Ruby Keeler in the movie "Dames".

By Wearing History I made it up, but added pockets. I didn't realize it had an elastic waistband until I was going through to hem it but kept wondering why it was so short!
