Hollywood 1989; from 1940; Based on Scarlett O'Hara's white dress seen at the beginning of film. Also worn in the prayer scene.
One-piece dress features the flounce skirt, joined to a fitted bodice. Seven graduated circular flounces are set on a foundation skirt and may be finished with binding or lace edging. Box-pleat closing with buttons or tiny bows. Very short sleeves.
