Pictorial Review 9364; ca. 1938; Women's and Misses' Frock and Coat Ensemble. Popular patch pockets, always wide-awake with ideas, now perch saucily on the ends of this wide flowing sash and high on the loose-hanging coat. The V-necked frock is indicative of the new looser silhouette with its softly-tucked bodice and inverted pleats in skirt.
After Molyneux according to Pictorial Review, July 1938: "Molyneux introduced the printed dress and printed coat. It was acclaimed immediately by women everywhere. This lovely version is made of a Fieldcrest Bemberg sheer. No. 9364".
