Butterick 5479; ca. 1951; DOUBLE-BREASTED SUIT IN JUNIOR SIZES. Chic suit that was inspired by a Greek officer’s uniform. When buttoned, jacket has a plastron effect; partly unbuttoned, it reveals huge contrast revers. Contrast on the deep cuffs, the decorative slits in back of jacket. Designed by Carol Jones of Richmond, Va (as stated in Butterick Fashion News, January 1951).
