Vogue American Designer 1666; ca. 1978; Oscar de La Renta - Misses' Dress and Jacket. Mid-calf or floor length dress, with skirt (no side seams) gathered to front and back yokes, has front-buttoned closing. Bodice, fitted through bustline, and skirt yokes are gathered into slightly above waistline seam. Narrow contrast bias straps that tie at shoulders or wide shoulder straps. Purchased lace trim or self band at bodice upper edge. Purchased or self tie belt. Loose-fitting jacket, with front and back gathered into front and back yokes has round neckline, contrast or self bias tie closing and shirttail hemline. Contrast or self bias binding at neckline and fronts. Full length sleeves gathered at cap and gathers into narrow contrast or self cuffs. Topstitching.
