Vogue Paris Original Vintage Sewing Patterns

In February 1949, Vogue Patterns launched the Designer Line Vogue Paris Original. Those patterns were made from the designers’ own working muslin patterns and featured dresses and suits from eight famous Parisian dressmakers: Pierre Balmain, Jacques Fath, Jacques Heim, Lanvin, Molyneux, Paquin, Robert Piguet et Schiaparelli.

The patterns were more expensive than the usual Vogue patterns ($2.50 vs $2.00). (Ref.)

Some Vogue Paris Original Patterns stated: "Straight from Paris to you-the fashion in this envelope. Your Paris Original was selected by Vogue at the dramatic opening of the designer’s collection, then flown to America where a line-for-line translation was put into pattern form."
