Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani, best known as Valentino (born 11 May 1932) is an Italian fashion designer. His fashion house is among the world's most famous haute couture and ready-to-wear fashion empires.

Vogue patterns featured several of Valentino's creations on their patterns in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, more difficult and expensive than the other patterns, these Vogue patterns offered amazing style to those who were willing to take on the challenge of creating them.

Vogue Patterns state: "Valentino, the Milan-born couturier, studied in Paris before returning to Rome in 1960 to establish his own atelier. Since then, his inimitable design skill and color sense have attracted an overwhelming coterie of the international set's most elegant woman."
