Calico Print Shop 5017; ca. 1980s; 1 882 Period Dress for 13-14" Doll. The dress picture is of pure silk taffeta. (The pleated ruffles on skirt are hemmed.) The Front Panel has rows of vertical shirring. The narrow ruffle used around the edge of the Front Panel and at the top edge of pleated ruffles is pinked. Pinking was used extensively on taffeta ruffles. If material other than taffeta is used, the ruffle should be hemmed or lined with organza.
