Butterick 7285; ca. 1955; Misses’ Empire Dancing Dress:2 Lengths : A dress for the girl with stars in her eyes.  Cut low, wide, and handsome at the neckline – closely curved at the waist – floating out below from a lowered waistline.  Back zipped.  (A) Formal length.  (B) Street length.
