Butterick 5979 Front Envelope

Butterick 5979; ca. 1970s; Misses' Shirt, Skirt, Pants and Shorts. Loose-fitting shirt has all-in-one pointed collar and band, front buttoned tucked band closing, buttoned patch pockets and full-length shirt sleeves with continuous lap opening eased and pleated into buttoned cuffs or above elbow length sleeves worn rolled up with buttoned tab. A-Line skirt is below mid-knee length and straight-legged pants and shorts have mock fly front zipper, slanted side pockets, contour buttoned waistband and buttoned self carriers. Edgestitch and topstitch trim.

Suggested Fabrics: soft or crisp fabrics such as lightweight broadcloth, lightweight linen, chambray, lightweight hopsacking for shirt. Chino, denim, twill, broadcloth, linen, gabardine for skirt, pants, shorts.
