Butterick 5874; ca 1951; Off-The-Shoulder or Strapless Dance Dress. A "grand entrance" gown with a magnificent-to-dance-in skirt. Bodice nips in at the waist, has unbroken front and back panels that lead into inverted skirt pleats. (A) Shoulder-swathing surplice band. (B) Contrast upper bodice.
