Butterick 4340; ca. 1899; Ladies' Skirt, Closed at Front or Back, in Clearwing or Shorter Length, with Regulation or Slightly Raised Waistline: consisting of Five Short Gores, with an inverted Plait or in Habit Style at the Back, and a Plaited Flounce with Straight Lower Edge Attached in Tunic Outline. (Desirable for Bordered Goods, Flouncings or Other Fabrics.) (To be Made as a Separate Skirt or Attached to a Waist in Semi-Princess Style.)
