Bridalelegance1850

Bridal Elegance 1850; ©1982; Angel, Leg-O-Mutton and Bishop Sleeve Variations.  Peek-a-Boo Sleeve A, has fitted undersleeve with slashed Bishop oversleeve and one inch cuffs.  Oversleeve may be cut on fold, without trim at slash; or single cut with application of trim.  The slashed Bishop may be made without undersleeve.  The Tight Fitted sleeve may be made with point over hand, C: or without, B.  The Full Bishop Sleeve D, features natural cuff; 4 or 6 button cuff, with or without point over hand.  Sleeve E, a flowing Angel Sleeve, should be made of a reversible, soft, flowing fabric, (chiffon, georgette, voile).  The Leg-O-Mutton Sleeve, F, has exaggerated fullness at the upper arm tapering to a tight fit at the forearm.  Crisp fabrics are suggested for this sleeve, which has a built in ruff to support the fullness at the shoulder of the upper sleeve.  Sleeves A, B, C, E and F are all constructed from the same pattern peice.  Sleeve C and the cuffs of D should be lined.  Line sheer fabrics with organza if the sheer look is desired.  Instructions are given for button and loops or snap closing.
