Advance Import Adaptation 95; ca. 1953; The "Tulip" dress has top fullness that tapers to a narrow hemline. Bodice has tiny stand up wing collar that hugs neckline in back. Bodice back and sleeve, upper front and sleeve section are all cut in one, forming forward shoulder line. Skirt front and bodice side sections are cut in one and build up to form simulated welt pockets. Dress front is fitted with soft pleats which are released at waistline. Novelty belt may be worn under pleats and slipped through concealed buttonholes or over pleats. Button front closing is seamed below hipline to form walking pleat.
