Advance American Designer 8946; ca. 1959; Original Design by Edith Head of Paramount Studios - Misses' One-Piece Dress and Bolero. Two-piece ensemble begins with a tiny-sleeved dress whose waistline is slightly raised in front, graduating to a natural line in back ... whose skirt is full of unpressed pleats. Back-buttoned Empire bolero has three-quarter (V1) or short sleeves (V2) - in one with bodice.

I have always wanted to get my hands on an Edith Head pattern for a dress worn by Rosemary Clooney in the movie White Christmas. It looks like it's green velvet, worn in the "cast party" scene, where Danny Kaye and Vera Ellen announce their "engagement If any such pattern is available I would love to get one! -- Laurejmc
