Advance American Designer Pattern 8048; Original 1957 Design by Edith Head of Paramount Studios, Hollywood.

Sheath (lined) has square neckline in front, low at back. Front dart-tucks released top and bottom. Back zipper closing and low walking pleat. Short lined bolero has sleeves in one, front draped turtleneck collar. Bolero buttons part way down back.

SUGGESTED FABRICS: Wider Width Cotton. Silk or Synthetic; Peau de Soie, Faille, Crepe, Taffeta, Shantung. Lightweight Wools or Synthetics. Lining: Wider Width Cotton, Silk or Synthetics.

The American Designer Advance pattern series was created by New York Times Editor Virginia Pope in 1949 and ran through the 1950s, with a new Exclusive design from an up-and-coming designer of note released each month.
