Advance 6480; ca. 1953; One Piece Dress with Turnabout Skirt. The feature of this design is the construction of the TURNABOUT SKIRT and the use of CONTRASTING FABRICS. Skirt: two pattern pieces make a complete circle--Stitched at the normal side seams, the extended sides form the turnabout skirt. V. 1 Bodice and front inside skirt of lace or print--back outer skirt of plain fabric--Wear it to the front for a blouse and skirt effect--turn it about for a complete dress. V2 Reverse the use of fabric, making the complete outer skirt and bodice of plain colored fabric with contrast color for front inside skirt. Scatter medalions for an interesting trim.
