Hi, I was wondering if Non-English patterns would be accepted. I have a lovely Dutch Pattern from the seventies. As a born and raised Dutch lass I can translate when needed. Maybe an international/European category is an idea to add, might be really fun to see vintage patterns from different parts of the world next to each other.
Thanks in advance!
I found it in an article and i believe its called McCall 4856? i think its by Lanvin. here is a picture:
It has been a long time since I have contributed a pattern that wasn't listed and I cannot remember how to do it. Where do I find the guide for how it is done and a template?
Hello! I know that the claim for 85,000+ free patterns is false. However, I was wondering if there are any free pdfs at all. I found one for 1950s gloves, so I was wondering if there might be more. No 1980s please.
Sorry of this is the wrong place to put this/ it has already been answered. I recently stumbled across thevintagepatternshop.com and initially thought they had a too good to be true collection of patterns before realizing they sold quote "Professional Digitally Reproduced’ copy of this sewing pattern. Copied from the original sewing pattern". Does anyone has experience buying from them? Also can they be linked under the vendor tab on pattern articles, or does this wiki strictly link to original patterns for sell? Since they have such a huge library I thought it be great for the patterns without vendor sources of somebody was okay with a reproduction
I have a Hollywood Claudette Colbert pattern that isn't on the wiki, but the number, Hollywood 1050, is listed as a different pattern. I'm confused! If I could figure out how to add a page for this pattern, what would I call it to differentiate it from the Hollywood 1050 that's already there, and still have it searchable.
Many thanks,
Miranda
Hi there, this is an amazing resource. It there any way to make the thumbnails bigger so you can see the pattern front without clicking on every pattern?
Thank you very much!
I have this one https://vintagepatterns.fandom.com/wiki/Vogue_8658_A but with the number as 569. Should I make a new article or put my link in the source as it is the same pattern?
Hi all, what size should the main image be? Is there a maximum size where it just gets resized?
I saw a topic that I tapped into ... hoping that it would help me, or give me some information. It didn't ... hers was regarding a page duplication that she did, when she created one. Thank You, and I don't know how to delete what I did, if it is wrong. Sorry, again!
and still couldn’t figure out how to add my shop name/myself to the ‘Source/Vendor’ List, for Simplicity 9789 Pattern. It said something about my not having an article. Anyway, please check the page for me to make sure that I didn’t screw it up. I did call myself fixing it and remove what I did (or try to do). This must be why I never continued working with, or using this, for about 5 years. I find it too confusing. I’m sorry, if I messed your page up.
I have a 1984 pattern order sheet that has multiple patterns, mostly dresses. Do I post these as by section ie: coatdress, slender looks, etc. each section has 6-8 images and is only about 6x8". The order is sent to Patterns Winner, do I use this as the title or Mail order-Patterns Winner? Attached is a sample.
Thank you,
Debbie
Hi. I created a new page for Style 1172 - but it came up without the usual formatting that is needed. I could not work out how to add these so have created another page Style 1171 B - which is formatted correctly. Is it possible for me to delete the first and rename the second - or to move the formatting onto the first and delete the second.
Sorry!!
Are these patterns tagged in some way for more granular searching? For instance, I would like to see patterns for tailored, 20's vintage, men's suits (a la Peaky Blinders on Netflix). Is there an easy way to find such?
hi, can i use some of the images to post it on instagram or blog? thanks
Hi, I was replacing the original image with a better one as the original was out of focus but I can not get it to sit at the top of the screen. How do I fix this?
I’m on mobile so I can’t tell if there is, but I think it would be really helpful to allow people to sort them! Or offer subcategories of difficulty levels. :)
Heads' up: a post on FB links to this site, promising downloads of vintage patterns. Just thought you should know.
How do you add a banner to the scrolling vendors' list on the home page? Are there a certain requirements before a banner can be added?
Thanks
