Hi! I'm new here, and I'd like to know how I can get patterns, do I have to purchase them, how to do that?
Ca 1940
Soft flattery in this surplus dress. Bodice and waist are effectively accented by the drapes detail in front; seam detail in back gives a low waist effect. Brief draped sleeves in (A);balloon sleeves (B); long sleeves (C). Five gore skirt.

I just found out that I have a pattern that's not listed on this wiki. I'm new to this wiki and I was wondering how I can add it to the wiki? It's Advance 4806. I think it was made in the 1940s.

My grandmother made my mom's wedding dress in 1957. My aunt wore this dress in 1964 and I wore it in 1986. My daughter will be wearing it in Jan. 2020. I would love to see if I could find an image of the pattern (I think I would recognize it if I saw it) to add to a collage I'm making of each bride wearing this special dress. Is there an easy way to search all 1957 patterns that are wedding dresses? Thanks for your help.

Per this article: https://www.healthyfoodhouse.com/wiki-has-released-over-83500-vintage-sewing-patterns-online-for-download/, you have released the patterns themselves for download. I am not seeing links to download patterns anywhere. Help?

Hi:

I am trying to understand what the little number stamped on the back of many of my vintage Vogue sewing patterns means? Does it even mean anything at all? I would love to hear from someone if you have any knowledge around this. Thanks so much. I am new to this page - just found it today. So, not entirely sure how it all works right now. :-)

I sewed some from the late '60s to early '80s and still have the patterns, about 20 of them. I don't have an Etsy shop or anything similar, it's not enough of them to be worth it, and since I'm not in the sewing or vintage worlds, I have no idea how to find people who might be interested in purchasing the lot. Anyone have any suggestions of where to go? Is ebay my best bet?

I am looking for a pattern to sew an Aladdin costume for an upcoming show. My son is a XL boys or a men's small. I can alter a pattern if neccessary. Butterick 3048, McCalls 8386,2622 or 7739, Simplicity 4464 seems some nice options but there might be others. Please contact me at nbcassidy@gmail.com if you have one of these patterns for sale. Many thanks!

Hello everyone!

Im new to the site, and I recently set up an etsy shop that I think you might enjoy.

My Grandma recently passed away and she left a treasure trove of sewing patterns and vintage goodies. She was a really neat woman. She was 99 years old when she passed. During her life, she was a model for IMagnin and she traveled the world. To see more of her story, you can check out my etsy shop home page.

I just started listing the boxes of patterns that I have. But I know that so far I've found a few rare ones. So, feel free to stop by my shop and take a look. Hopefully I can find a new home for these lovely patterns. www.TimelessRedHead.etsy.com

Hi there Tarna, Apologies for the very poor additions to this Wikia. I cannot seem to work out how to add new patterns. I welcome ANY tips, and again apologies for my crappy additions.
