Hi! I'm new to this fandom.
What's on your mind?
I've been searching for a site that will tell me if a pattern is out of print and I can't find anything! I'm sure it's just staring me in the face. Can anyone point me in the right direction, please? Many thanks.
Please can we get a next/previous button when viewing a pattern to see another instead of having to cancel & click on another pattern. I think it would be a lot faster and easier.
This pattern for Butterick 3728 does not appear to be in the database. I only have a photo, no further information.
Hi, I was wondering if Non-English patterns would be accepted. I have a lovely Dutch Pattern from the seventies. As a born and raised Dutch lass I can translate when needed. Maybe an international/European category is an idea to add, might be really fun to see vintage patterns from different parts of the world next to each other.
Thanks in advance!
Hi i just found out about this page, there is so much content, i love it! but my question is if there are any free paterns here, and if so where can i find them?
I found it in an article and i believe its called McCall 4856? i think its by Lanvin. here is a picture:
Hello! I love this illustration of these vintage dresses, featured on the home screen of this wikia page. Presumably they belong to a sewing pattern, but I can't find any more information on them. Does anyone know what this sewing pattern might be? Thank you! :)
I wish we could search the dress patterns by things like neckline shapes, skirt types, sleeve lengths, etc. It would make things a lot easier, don't you agree? Especially if we could filter out features we didn't want, like empire waistlines or whatever.
Thus IS a vintage pattern page, so I am assuming some people here are into fashion history. I am obsessed with it. There are so many films and T.V. shows that have done great jobs with making costumes historically accurate (Even though technically there is no such thing as 100% historical accuracy if no one is currently alive from the time period to tell us what us accurate and such), but also some that have done far from a good job. In your opinion, what are some if the worst offenders?
Is there a step by step tutorial on how to create a new page that includes adding the photo. I haven't listed new patterns to the Wikia in many months and want to add my new listing but everything has changed and I am totally lost now. I had my setting on visual editor, don't know if that is correct anymore. I just stopped before I created a mess. Please help!
Hello admins, I have a miniature doll pattern, perhaps a sample pattern, with no number. How shall I title the page?
I'd like to had on this wiki a mail order pattern, but this one has no number. What title could I use for it?
It has been a long time since I have contributed a pattern that wasn't listed and I cannot remember how to do it. Where do I find the guide for how it is done and a template?
I had issues trying to add my vendor links this evening until about 8:45 PM EST... Then I noticed a new message: "We have migrated your community and all of its content onto new wiki software."
It looks nice! No humongous changes--everything just looks freshened up and clean. I was able to add my vendor links.
The only challenge thus far is my attempt to create a new page. I'm fairly tech-literate, but it seems as though there's no template to use to create a new page.
I have recently bought a rather large lot of vintage sewing patterns. There is one entitled Patron # P001 which was apparently a pattern given for free when you bought "L'Atelier de couture Singer" (I presume this is a French language book). The pattern is dated 1994. Have you heard of others of this type?
Butterick 5526 Misses’ Blouse 1970’s
How can I buy this pattern:
